(ooc: Claire, I took Stubber down with me...)
*Looks up* Claire! Come on down, give them my bow, I left it up there! They should be fine on their own! *she calls up to her* Oh, hey, Arwen. *she says after Arwen appears inches infront of her, seeing as the hole was quite thin* I believe we can wa... er... crawl threw here... *with her sword alight she points to a small tunnel that seemed to be made of running water from somewhere* Oh, this is not going to be fun... *Kes unties Stubber and reties his hands together and cuts the rope. She ties one end of the remaining rope to his ankles so he couldn't kick her in the face and the other end of it to her wrist* Now, crawl. *she forces him down and he starts crawling as soon as she's down on her stomach. They're followed closely by Arwen and another creature, whom Kes hoped was Claire*

ooc: Claire, green in general is a reserved color. Colors were to keep main narration, additional information and NPCs apart. There's no need to post in color ....
bic: *Hears Mel's army nearby.* Rhys, how long until we're on safe ground?*We're almost through. Only a few more turns. Do you see this large tree over there? It marks the end of the path. Fine! Then we'll turn left. I heard Mel over there. With any luck we can reach her army before the Uruk-Hai find us. No problem. We should be much faster than the orcs.

Ok, back to the story ;D
*Runs along the freed Gondor people to Rhys who still leads them through the forest.* I've seen a hill about one mile from here on my way to the camp. I think we should go there for shelter and a better position to fight the orcs. And we can signal Mel from there to meet with her army, too.*Looks back. The first Uruk-Hai are visible between the trees a few hundred meters away.* I think we can make it!
*He nods* I know this hill. There are some caves and a lot of rocks up there. I, too, would rather battle the orcs from a defined position than try to spread out in the woods to get them. *Shouts* Up to the hill, run as fast as you can!

There's something awfully familiar about this place... *Rolls his eyes.* Look up. *Does so.* Oh, great, the mountain. It can't be that far to the camp, then. Wait, do you think it's a good idea just to... walk right up to the camp, in plain sight? Good point. *Glances around.* Well, there's a forest starting a little further on that looks like it will run alongside the camp. If we keep to the trees we should be covered. All right then. *They set off running in the direction of the forest.*

Going across the mud for what seemed like hours, Arwen kept all of her senses alert. For the first while, nothing could be heard except for some of the movement and mud splashes from her group.
Alas! suddenly a sharp sound of screaming filled the air. It was ear piercing and Arwen's hands flew over to her pointy ears. The screaming lasted a long time, perhaps too long to be just human.
Suddenly it stoped for a while and Arwen whispered over to Kessa and Claire, "I believe that's the sound of men being turned into orcs. There is great evil afoot here, and we shall be in great trouble if we do not make haste!"

*Rushes up the hill, ignoring the bruises she gets from the thorny hedges. Climbs up into a ring of rocks on the top, dragging a man behind her by his sleeve. *THis place looks good. I think we can last here for a while. Pass out the spare weapons.* Looks down and sees a group of Uruk-Hai waiting at the foot of the hill.

*Makes sure that all men who can stand upright and carry a weapon are positioned as best as possible.* I hope we don't have to wait too long until Mel's troops come to our help. *More and more orcs gather at the foot of the hill, waiting for orders.

*The pair are trekking through the woods. Iridian elbows Imrel suddenly.* Irid! *Ribs her side and lowers her voice.* What is it? Look there... *Points through the trees to the hill near to the wood.* There are people at the foot of that hill... They could be Orcs... Keep quiet, they'll not pay heed to us with a quarter of the forest in the way. *Walks on, suddenly wary of the twigs that snap at the slightest shuffle.* *Begins to follow, but stops suddenly and tugs at her shirt. Speaks in such an utter that Im has to strain to hear him.* The top of the hill! Look! *Obeys.* I don't se- Wait. *Turns to him.* There are people up there? They could be hiding from the Orcs, if that's what is at the bottom of the hill. It couldn't be Mel and the Gondorians, could it... There are too few... Well, the chances are that they need help. You're right. We'd best find Mel. Let's go. *Turns on her heel and runs on swiftly, Iridian in tow. The crunching underfoot luckily doesn't attract any attention from this distance.

*Takes out her whistle to call her falcon* We don't have any time to wait until Mel and the others find us by themselves.* Draws a map of their position and a help note on a piece of paper and puts it into a capsule, waiting for her winged friend*

Balin, I didn't say you shouldn't join! All I'm saying is that when you do so, do it in a way that doesn't disrupt the entire storyline! This story has been going on for quite a while now. Of course you don't have to read every page but at least get yourself familiar with what it's all about (introduction is in the archives) and the recent events/locations. Same for admins, by the way... ;D So right now there are three groups out there: Arwen & Companions out in the mountains somewhere, Mel and an army of previously freed Gondorians near an Uruk-Hai camp, me and the people that fled from this camp on a hill, almost surrounded by the orcs who followed us. Right now I try to inform Mel about our situation on this hill to get her help. So just join a group with a fitting introduction and everything will be fine.
bic: *sends her falcon up into the air.* Fly fast, my friend, and don't let yourself get killed!*
