My mother used to live in England and worked at the London Airport (Hethro Airport I think), she had many English friends to help her. What she relized there was that she didn't know half as much geography as her English friends. I believe (and so does she) that teachers should be a bit strict, should NOT teach unless he/she knows what he/she is doing, and that we should learn things that are more useful. Yes, history is a great thing to learn, I love history, but I forgot almost everything I learned about American History from last year. Arwen, Fantasy World use to have Arwen there, but she left (I think it was quite recent, I wish she didn't, she was a good moderator AND she was going out with someone there [who use to be my real boyfriend]). In short, you are welcome to be Arwen if you wish, but I'm afraid we have a Galandriel who dosen't really come much (in fact, most if not all members come much, things die, and this board is either dead or near death)

Hethro? My father is a pilot and he flies there sometimes...
I understand the things about dead boards. This one currenly isn't very active either. Since your board is also a Harry Potter one, I'm wondering if you have seen the trailer for the second movie. I didn't manage to yet, though my Australian friend did and she liked it a lot! I used to be a member @ HarryPotter.com, but there were so many people that all the fun got drained out of it. There was too much brainless gossip stuff as well as a "Lord Voldemort" who posted the same message many times across the whole boards for a long time. Many (including me) got so tired with it and so did many. I was both Parvati and Padma Patil there at the same time so I was typing for two people, which was quite a neat experience.
By the way, did you get the LOTR on DVD yet? It's not coming out in my part of the world for about a month and I really want to know what it is like... special features and all...

My aunt did and I got to see it a bit. It's AWESOME! But were not going to get it until the extended version comes out (as my mother said). Though I would like it now, I think that's a better idea. I'm so surprised how much my sister loves, and I mean LOVES the Lord of the Rings now. I let her borrow my "The Hobbit" book and she carries it around like a bible, she loves it! Anyway, the stuff included is like "The Making of the Lord of the Rings", the movie clip "May It Be" by Enya, info on the next movie, this and that.

I now go the LOTR on VHS, though they cut out some parts! For example, the kiss between Aragorn and Arwen, when Legolas sees really far, and when Haldir says, "The dwarf breathes so loud we could have shot him in the dark!" Why would they do that? Not like any of those scenes were bad or anything.
I'll probably get the extended version as well, though I'll have to ask my dad to bring it from somewhere when he travels! Don't want to deal with more cut scenes....
