Pretty soon the trio as well as the horses were in the cave, safe for now, at the very least. "That was close!" Arwen exclaims, though her hand is still on the hilt of her sword. She walks around the cave and examines it.
"Something feels odd here." she says slowly. "If the wolves feared it, than this cave has more to it than meets our eyes." Arwen climbs up on one of the rocks which are found on the cave and sits down upon it.
"However," she continues, "we need to rest, to recover our strenght. We could get some sleep here, though someone needs to keep watch. I suggest that we take turns, having both one of us as well as one of the horses awake at every moment; watching incase more danger comes by..."
Arwen then inspects the wound on her arm. It still hurt a bit though the bleeding managed to stop. She took some athelas out of her bag and applied a bit to her arm; hoping her wound would be better. "Take some, Kessa," she says, motioning Kessa forward. "It would be good..."
"Shall I take first watch?" she asks, despite her weariness...

*Kessa takes some athelas, reluctantly and not much* Really, I'll be fine. *she says, eyeing the medicine with distaste, she much believed in letting the wound heal itself* No, no, I'll take the first watch, you two sleep. I'm really not that tired. *she says, backing herself up with wide eyes. She stands stretches and goes outside of the cave. They had stopped close to the entrance, so she could still see them all. Kessa reenters and draws a circle in the dirt. She takes some rocks she found around them and outlines the circle* I'll be right back, you two set up your sleeping stuff or something. *Kessa leaves and returns moments later with a pile of wood. She sets it down and pulls out her sword* Embrar. *she whispers and a fire ignites in the wood* There you are. *she says, standing and looking at the small fire* I'll be outside, watching. *she walks outside and sits down. Kessa soon hears whiffling snores and peaks inside, Arwen and Mel were sound asleep. Truly not being tired, Kessa takes Wind aside, he was not asleep, either* Watch them all, OK? I'm going to go look around, I think we may be here a little while, just until we can figure out what to do about the wolves. *Wind nods and returns inside the cave. Kessa takes a log, lights it, seeing the fire nearly out, and departs the clearing. She ventures deep into the woods*
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*The next morning, Kessa squats by the fire, three eggs are frying on a rock over a much larger fire. Two dead wolves lay to the side, Kessa is cooking part of one* Wind helped me out. *she shrugs when the other two awake* Tomorrow someone else can have watch, though. *she grins and nods to the eggs and meat* Eat up. *Kessa takes the eggs off and eats her own* Sorry, gotta eat with our hands. *Kessa then return to the wolf* I'm thinking two legs should feed us all, this one was big. *She tears the leg into bits and puts them on flat rocks as well* What do you think we should do about the wolves, we can't go anywhere without fire and carrying fire around everywhere is way too dangerous. I think we can stay in this cave for now as long as we don't go back there. *nods to the deeper path in the cave* There's something not right about that back there.
Arwen wakes up when the sun rises along the horizon and rubs her bright blue eyes a bit. She sees Kessa making breakfast and wonders if the ranger was awake all night. "Oh Kessa! You shouldn't have!" Arwen exclaims as she puts her blanket aside and walks up to Kessa. Melody soon joins them and the three of them were having breakfast.
"Where did you find the eggs? Is there a nest around?" Arwen asks curiously. "Aye, I believe that the legs shall be enough for us now. I still have some fruits and lembas in my pack, though waybread should be used as our last resort when all else will fail!" Arwen says as she takes a bite of her egg; realising she hadn't eaten since she departed from Rivendell.
Arwen watches the bits of meat roast upon the fire and she takes a stick and moves them aroud, that way they will not burn and get scorched. "Kessa, you're definitely right about that cave. I feel something weird within there. Something definitely isn't right. However, it appears to me as if we shouldn't go out until the wolves go away. On the other hand, we should go out soon or we shall not reach the woods of Lorien until AfterYule!" she says with both grave and smile, wondering why she decided to speak of months in Hobbit fashion!
Arwen finishes her egg just as the wolf meat is ready. She mixes it around one final time before spliting it up into three portions. "Take some." she says, motioning forward to Kessa and Melody with a slender arm. "But I believe that our horses are hungry as well..."
Arwen puts aside her breakfast for a moment, gets a carrot out of her pack and walks over to Asfaloth.
Oh, I found a creek nearby and took the horses. *at the others' conserned glances, she adds* One at a time and with the fire, the wolves were not happy about that but disliked the fire even more. They munched on some grass but they are probably hungry.
"The fire scared the wolves," Arwen says, coming up with a plan. "Then perhaps we should take some fire with us while we are running away from these wolves. On the other hand, fire emits light, correct? What about Elendil?"
Arwen finishes with Asfaloth and returns to where the fire is. She takes some of the meat and has a bit, not too hungry anymore. "You said you found a creek nearby, Kessa," Arwen says, "Do you think going there would be a good idea, considering the wolves?"
As I said, Arwen, all of us taking fire would be too dangerous. I thought of that plan already, what do you think I speant all last night doing...?
We could go to the creek one at a time, at most two, but someone needs to stay back here to watch out for our things. I could take you to show you where it is, after that we should stick to one at a time. I did think about going out with Wind to find the end of the wolves's territory. Wind could take us out two first and then come back for the last person. I'll take him later today. If it is not too far, this may work, then again, the wolves may venture through out this entire forest.
"Perhaps you're right!" Arwen says, immediately pouring water over the idea of using fire. She thinks about Kessa's plan and sees that it may as well work.
"The only question I have is who stays behind and who goes ahead first. Either way, I should go pack up my gear..." Arwen says as she begins to pack her things up...
No, you needn't yet, I'm going to take Wind right now to see about the wolves. I- *she stops, her face falling as a thought dawns in her head* I didn't think about the other horses... *she looks at the two and sighs, sitting down to think*
