Hey, I just found out today that the nazguls are actually even taller than the elves! The tallest race besides the trolls to be exact... ;D

That's nice then, as long as people don't start asking us to fetch things down of high shelves for them. So to recap, the pillow fight appears to have been a phenomenal success with many new visitors to the house of the Nazgul, and it's rocketed our no. of posts and it's been good fun. Next question do we go with the horse race idea for next weekend?

Sure!
There should be a nice new thread created for it. Maybe even some stands for spectators.
;D
I wanna sell the hotdogs.

So, the horse race next weekend. Post your ideas here. I was thinking of something along the lines of a race starting at the stables and taking a route around the outskirts of Rivendell ie past the Nazgul house, fairy house, etc, ending at the elf area. This time Sinron *points a finger* don't go posting it everywhere, we had complaints.

There should be places for the spectators to watch. We could have some seats or something at the starting point and ending point. After the competitors set off, someone will lead the spectators to the ending point. A plan must be made, so that the time the competitors take to complete the course is about the time the spectators take to walk to the ending point.
A test run would be good.

we could have jumps as well! I think any competitors will have to get on the starting line way in advance so we know whos running. Like in the pillowfight we had a list of who would be taking part. WE would have to stop people from racing ahead and crossing the finish line too early. The race has to last a weekend. Mmmm....this could take some planning!

So, naturally, there'd have to be another rule added - they can't spoil the race for everyone.
Maybe you could make it a relay race. Then it'd last longer.
The race'll have to be held in the Nazgûl rooms. There's gonna have to be a new thread. In here, the Nazgûl can control the speed of the race.

It needs to be kept as simple as possible, as people don't bother to read threads properly. What about the pillow fight thread.? We're gonna have to delete it. Leave it up untill tomorrow maybe so everyone has a chance to read it.

Why don't you delete it on Thursday? Planning for the Race will have to start latest Wednesday. I need to see how many hot dogs are needed.
Time to hit the supermarket after that.

Here goes! My proposal for the race. A horse race of Middle-earth. The race will be run in sections, with clear instructions given at the start of each. The race basically follows the LOTR map. Friday -
Rivendell Bree The Shire - check-point Saturday- Misty Mountains Mirkwood Mordor - check-point Sunday - Gondor Isengard Rivendell - Finish Check-points will be manned by SG who will hand out hot dogs, etc. Competitors cannot leave a checkpoint, to continue the race, without our permission. The winner is the person who goes through every place, in the correct order in the shortest time.
What do you think? Too ambitious? Is this way too complicated for the elves Is it feasible? Should we run a hell for leather, sprint race concurrently for those who can't be arsed to read instructions.

Nice route. But I know I can't run the checkpoints all on my own. We need to rotate.
OOC - There're time differences. People from different places will be on at different times. If a competitor reaches a checkpoint but I'm not there, it won't be fair. So we need to discuss and make up a schedule of some sort. And as the Ringwraiths are from either SIngapore, UK or England, it'll be hard to be on when Americans and Canadians are on. So we need to pick the time of a certain place as a sort of control or whatever you call it and make a schedule that way. We could at least try to have one person or more on at different times.
In short, it means we'll take shifts.
It's confusing and troublesome, but fair to those who get to the checkpoints first. If you can't be bothered, then we'll just stick to manning the checkpoints whenever any of us is on.
