~The Forge Of Moria~
*The ranger had been out in the Misty Mountains for several weeks. As the night began to fall, she was looking for a place to rest. The last night she had spent in a dwarf village, well hidden in a small valley in the northern parts of the mountains. Letting her horse trott on, she enters a small forest of twisted trees. Suddendly her faithful horse stops, snorting. She dismounts and takes a look around. There's blood on the leaves of a small bush. She leads her horse into what underwood there is and draws her sword. A faint trail of red dots leads up the mountain. She follows it out of the forest again to a small plateau. Behind some bushes, she finds the entrance of a cave. The blood on the stones is still moist. She sighs and enters slowly. After a few steps she can hear a soft moan and the sound of chain mail moving against stone. Looking around the corner, she can see a small figure lying on the ground. A head turns and the long beard of a dwarf becomes visible. She walks towards him, kneeling down. *"I'm Rhiannon, a ranger. Don't move, you have lost much blood" "I'm Tarin....they almost got me...I tried to..." " Shhh, you need more help than I can offer. My horse is down in the forest. I can take you back to a village." "Nooo, they will come searching for me...It's too late...do you have something to drink?"*She takes a bottle from her belt and uncorks it.*"What happened?" *He drinks* "Ahh...Orcs. I'm one of the last master blacksmiths of Moria. The mines are bigger than even Sauron knows. There are many hidden caves and halls...One of the most important secrets was the location of the Master's Forge. They are looking for it. And for the huge supply of Mithril that is still there. Enough for an army bigger than any other before...It's down there. Deeply hidden..." "Mithril? No suprise they hunt you" " They still have no clue...I managed to escape. You seem to be honest and trustworthy, ranger, if you are welcome at the hidden villages of my people....I don't have any use for Mithril anymore...I'll tell you where it is...When I knew I wouldn't survive, I made a map. It's under my breast plate....I..." * He starts coughing, a trickle of blood running down his chin* "You must rest, I'll get help." "No, it's too late...my friends will find me. It's not too bad for a dwarf to die in a cave...Take the map ranger, and may the light of Eärendil be with you." *He smiles. A last cough shakes his body as he closes his eyes. She sighs and carefully takes off his armor. A piece of paper is tucked under the chain mail. She unfolds it quickly. A map is drawn on it but about half is covered by stains of blood. *Rest in peace, blacksmith...I let your people know where you are....* She gets up and walks out of the cave again. After securing the entrance with stones, she quickly climbs down to her horse again.* Arian, hurry! Back to Rivendell, there are important things to be discussed* They vanish into the night.*
