*Comes back from her horse and walks over to one of the scouts.* How far away is this camp and have you noticed any signs of other orcs?
It's about three miles away. We have found no other orc tracks. The camp seems to be a recently set up outpost.

*tilts her head.* go to the camp and surprise the orcs? of course, it would be in our favor to find some sheltered way around, so we are not as obvious... *turns to the scout.* i don't suppose there is a forest nearby the camp, or something of that nature to provide cover?

The forests begin right after this hill, so we can possibly reach the camp without being noticed

Let's do that then. The band of riders send their horses forward at a canter till they reach the top of the hill and the safety of the woods. The horses are forced back to a walk as it is dark amongst the trees and very overgrown. The forest holds an eerie silence. Thorny brambles catch the horses tails, the branches become lower and more entertwined. It is as if the wood is closing in on them. *Dismounts and tries to lead horse under the low trees. Looks to the others with concern*
Will we be able to find a way through?

*jumps from the beige horse she was riding and scrambles up a nearby, tall oak to scan the forest. reaches a high branch crouches, and lifts her hand to her forehead so as not to get the sunlight in her eyes. calls down (but not too loudly);* i can see that the trees are not so dense over there... *points a touch to the right of the direction they're headed.* yet i have a feeling the forest will ley up completely by the time we arrive at the camp. to keep from view... *looks over the tree tops again.* we may be best to vear left. *squints, then speaks as she climbs down.* there seems to be the remnants of an old path there, trees cleared to the sides and all. they seem to have grown in over the years, mind. *darts under a low branch to the left of the party, can be heard struggling through the briars before giving a triumphan yet muffled cry. scrapes back through.* yes. it looks as if it might close up again though, and then we're in hot water. plus the briars could be troublesome for the horses. *glances around.* perhaps we should look around and find a safe and definate route?

*gestures to the thick, entangled and rather vast patch of thorny briars.* if you have a strong enough axe, be my guest.

*gives a sigh, then pulls out her own sword and gives jack a hand.* of course, there is still the fact that the path may close up, then we'd be back to square one... *watches her sword in interest as it flashes, but not in the very diluted sunlight coming through the forest canopy.*
