An opening deep in the woods. An ancient giant oak is growing in the middle. It's hollow trunk has been a secret meeting place for many generations of rangers. The cave inside the trunk is big enough for at least 20 men. Not only a place to leave messages but also for the respected Ranger's Council and the secret rites and celebrations of those who love the forest.
please post here only if you are a ranger

*Has been running through the forest for about two hours since leaving the watchtower. Slows down to check the secret markings to make sure that no stranger has been here. Walks towards the oak and enters the cave. Goes over to the message board and starts writing:* The armies of the Dark Lord have reached Rivendell. We fought bravely and won the battle but lost many of our warriors. We urgently need reinforcements but can't send out enough messangers because every sword is needed to protect Lord Elrond and the Council. So we must rely on you, fellow brothers and sisters of the forest, to spread the word of our fight across Middle Earth. Rhiannon Dragondaughter *Leaves the tree and sees Jack sitting next to it* I was just here to leave a message for our fellow rangers to help us getting reinforcements for our army.

The more the faster the message will reach men who can help us all across the country.

*Comes back the next evening. Checks the markings and walks over to the oak. Enters the trunk and takes a look at the message board. There is another message:*
'This is written by Rhys: I'm on my way to Rohan and will take your message to the king. Take care.'
Good, I almost started to fear that we are all alone. *Walks back to Rivendell.*

************************************************ Carefully approaches the place. Makes sure all markings are undisturbed before walking towards the oak. Enters and checks the message board. Smiles at Gwen's note, sighs* Only one message....awfully quiet around here, really unusual. Normally several people travelled by each week.*Brushes the dust off the chalks and writes: Fellow rangers, we still need help to fight the evil forces. Spread the word of our fight all over Middle Earth and ask for help. Our warriors are brave, but our forces are diminuishing with each battle. We trust in you. signed: Rhiannon Dragondaughter Leaves towards Rivendell*

*Creeps silently into the hidden place, fearing she might have been followed. She reads the note quickly and turns to leave. A twig snaps outside of the meeting place and Kessa freezes. She hears a tiny rustling as something hurries quietly away. After a bit, Kessa exits, looking around in the darkening evening light for any sign of a follower. Seeing none, she turns and departs*

*Flicks through the messages* "Oh -glad to see you're still alive, old friend." *Smiles and puts the letters back in their pouches.* "Fine... let's dust off the desk and write some replies."
